QUINTESSENCE tables
A table is not just a piece of furniture: it is a microcosm of events.
It is around the table that the 'domestic rituals' take place: breakfast, which opens up to the hopes of the coming day; lunch, which is sustained by the activity of the morning but already oriented towards the saturated light of the evening; dinner, which condenses the events of the day and entrusts them to the dark and metamorphic mysteries of the night. Around the table, children play, young people fall in love, mothers help their children learn, adults discuss, the elderly remember. Around the table, work takes place in a dimension of unwavering efficiency. Around the table, people pray and hope. Around the table, humanity unfolds.
We have designed a series of tables, imagining them as complex places, concretions of existence, changing in their formal perception like the reality of each person's experience in the passage of time described by light.
