Angelic Presences
The word "angel" comes from the Greek word ἄγγελος, which is found in Latin as angelus, a translation of the Hebrew מלאך.
The sound of the word remains similar in different languages, such as angelo in Italian, Engel in German, ange in French, ángel in Spanish.The figure of the angel is present in the most diverse cultures and religions: in several ancient Asian cultures, in Christianity, in Judaism, in Gnosticism, in Islam.
The angel is a spiritual being in the service of God as a mediator between God and man, spiritually assisting him on the path of his earthly existence.
In contemporary cultures, the figure of the angel continues to be present, sometimes with secular connotations, as an instrument of knowledge of the most mysterious and spiritual dimensions of existence, beyond the experience of the senses.
